Photographer General Information

I am a semi-pro / experienced serious amateur photographer, familiar with many different styles (Casual, Fashion, Lingerie, Glamour, Swimwear). I do not charge for portfolio work, and I provide digital images on a CD which is suitable for personal and promotional use. I can also provide a limited number of free portfolio-quality prints for your model portfolio book, based on the number of useable shots the session produces. Additional prints may be purchased for a reasonable fee.

I do most of my shooting on location in the Garland / Rowlett, Texas area or your choice if out of town or of a different place if you prefer. I can also set up a portable background set up as well. Outdoor  shoots for casual or fashion or swimsuit pictures are seasonally available.

Shoot Rules

  1. I do not do nude, adult or full-body “high” glamour work with models under 18. No exceptions. I will require a copy of your driver’s license or other proof of age before beginning any nude, adult or glamour shoot.
  2. I encourage chaperones and helpers whether or not the shoot involves nudity. However, they are required to be quiet and respectful while the shoot is going on.
  3. Models must sign releases. No exceptions. A sample release can be seen by clicking here: Model Release. (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.) As well I also allow for an Addendum to the Model Release for which limits the use for and submission of photos taken, this is an option available for the model. I will also need to see a Photo ID of some sort.
  4. Models can also have a Wavier of Copyright Release, if desired.(Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
  5. Everybody’s cell phone/pager must be turned off during the shoot. (That includes me.) If you absolutely must have it on, taking a call for more than three minutes, or taking more than two calls during a shoot, will result in the shoot immediately ending.

Photo Shoot Guidelines

  1. If you’re a beginning model, I will be pleased to advise you on what sort of basic pictures you might want in your portfolio. However, if you plan ahead, you can consider speciality pictures for the sort of fields you want to specialize in.

  2. I do not have a makeup artist on call. Models are encouraged to bring one, even if it’s just a friend who can help you. If you’ve never done makeup for photography before, be aware that a somewhat heavier makeup than you might wear casually is often appropriate. If you’re hopeless with makeup, I can try to provide an artist, but I can’t make any promises.

  3. Unless otherwise agreed upon, I do not provide wardrobe. Bring your own, as much as you reasonably expect to use. Changing areas may not be provided due to remote location setting, but all considerations will be taken into account to make changing as private as possible.

  4. I will have water with me on a location shoot. If you like a particular sort of refreshment, feel free to bring some along, or let me know and I will make reasonable provisions. For professional reasons alcohol will not be allowed during shoot.

  5. Before the shoot we will agree upon a mutual location close to the shooting site, should we decide to do a location shoot. If we decide to do a shoot at a indoor location we can either meet at the indoor location or meet at a mutual location to drive to that destination. If you are nervous I will be glad to walk you to and from the shooting site.

  6. You are welcome to bring music to play during the shoot. (Rap may be art, but it is not music.) I can also provide a wide variety of music on request.

  7. If you are considering nude or semi-nude work and don’t know how to describe what you want, you may find this list of definitions handy: Types of Nude Photography.
